When was the last time you counted sheep to fall asleep? Did it happen this week? Does it happen often? You're not alone. We've all had those nights. You can't turn your mind off, you toss and turn and stare at the clock. It's the worst!
Want to put the sheep back in the barn? Make lavender a part of your bedtime routine so you can relax and drift off to sleep. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Before bed, take a warm bath with a
few drops of lavender essential oil.

Roll lavender essential oil onto your temples,
back of the neck or the soles of your feet.

If you have a diffuser with an automatic
shut off option, diffuse lavender
essential oil in your bedroom.

Before bed, drink a cup of warm lavender
milk. Gently heat 8 ounces of milk and
add 1 tablespoon of lavender simple
syrup. We used Almond Breeze
Unsweetened Vanilla for a
non-dairy option. Delicious!

Spray your pillowcase with lavender linen
spray or slip a lavender sachet into the case.
Why does lavender help you fall asleep? Lavender contains linalool and linalyl, chemical compounds that have sedative effects which help to calm the nervous system, reduce restlessness and influence relaxation. So, the next time you have trouble sleeping, don't count sheep. Try one of our suggestions and catch some 💤. Sleep well!
